To locate a blood drive near you: Find a Drive
Come show your support for local law enforcement at our Blood Drive in Honor of Retired Springfield Police Officer Aaron Pearson! This event takes place only at CBCO’s Thomson Donor Center in Springfield, Missouri, on Friday, March 15, 2019, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. All participants will receive a T-shirt designed for this event. In addition, Texas Roadhouse will be at CBCO serving hot rolls and cinnamon butter beginning at 9:00 a.m. until supplies run out. Donors will receive a card for a FREE appetizer next time you visit Texas Roadhouse.
Officer Pearson was on duty with the Springfield Police Department when he was shot in the head January 26, 2015. He was rushed to Mercy Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Twenty units of blood were necessary during surgery. The blood was available thanks to generous CBCO donors.
“I like to imagine the donors huddled around Aaron, giving him their blood,” said his wife Amanda. “I can just imagine him lying there and 20 people circled around him, giving. That’s pretty powerful because they had no idea who he is or where it’s going, but they give anyway.”
You can make a difference in someone’s life, just like those 20 donors made a difference for an injured young father, husband, and law enforcement officer.
