Give Blood. Win Up To $56,000.
Resolve to save lives by routinely giving blood in 2025 and you could win up to $56,000 in prize money!
Presented by the Adam Swenka Team at Flat Branch Home Loans and The Giving Branch, the 56-Day Challenge is returning for another exciting year!
There’s never been a better time to support local patients by donating to Community Blood Center of the Ozarks!
Why a 56-Day Challenge?
All eligible donors can give whole blood once every 56 days, up to seven times a year!
Yet most people give blood just once a year. Of all the people who donate blood to the CBCO, only 39 percent give again during the same year.
If those one-time donors gave just one more time, local hospitals would have over 17,700 additional units of blood available to help patients!
Each blood donation can help up to three people right here in the Ozarks. If everyone participated in the 56-Day Challenge, think of how many of our neighbors, friends and loved ones would benefit!
How Does It Work?
Registration closes for current donors on February 28th, 2025.
Donors making their first LIFETIME donation to CBCO (1995-Present) after February 28th, 2025 must register within seven days of their first donation.
Donate WHOLE BLOOD at any Community Blood Center of the Ozarks blood drive or donor center. Your first donation can be made on any operating day in 2025 — come see us when it’s most convenient for you! Just remember to register by the appropriate deadline!
When you become eligible to donate again, make a second WHOLE BLOOD donation to Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. This second donation can also be made on any operating day in 2025!
Continue donating WHOLE BLOOD to Community Blood Center of the Ozarks whenever you are eligible. The more times you donate in 2025, the more you could win!
All Blood Donors in January and February Receive
Limited-Edition 56-Day Challenge Hoodie
2025: 11 Monthly Prize Drawings!
We’ll be randomly selecting one 56-Day Challenge participant on each of the following days:
Every WHOLE BLOOD donation a donor makes in 2025 will automatically earn them one entry into EACH DRAWING. If a donor’s name is selected, they will receive a $1,000 VISA GIFT CARD for EVERY WHOLE BLOOD DONATION they’ve made by that date in 2025! Here’s what that looks like!
Whole Blood Donations | Automatic Entries Per Drawing | Prize If Name Drawn |
1 | 1 | $1,000 ($1,000 x 1) |
2 | 2 | $2,000 ($1,000 x 2) |
3 | 3 | $3,000 ($1,000 x 3) |
4 | 4 | $4,000 ($1,000 x 4) |
5 | 5 | $5,000 ($1,000 x 5) |
6 | 6 | $6,000 ($1,000 x 6) |
7 | 7 | $7,000 ($1,000 x 7) |
Yes, a donor could win more than once!
For each monthly drawing, CBCO will randomly select one donor’s name from all qualifying participants. Winning one drawing will NOT disqualify a donor from winning any of the subsequent drawings.
In fact, if one donor’s name is picked for all 11 drawings — and that donor has successfully donated whole blood at least six times in 2025 — CBCO will increase the donor’s total reward to $56,000!
It’s an even bigger reason to keep giving all year long — and help save more lives in our communities!

Yes! Anyone who donates blood at any CBCO blood drive or donor center between January 2nd and February 28th will receive a hoodie on the date of their donation, while supplies last. However, donors will not be eligible to win gift card drawing prizes unless they fill out the 56-Day Challenge registration form.
Donors must fill out the registration form at www.cbco.org/56-entry by the listed deadline to be eligible to win a gift card. Donors who do not complete this registration form will not be entered to win, even if they redeem LifePoints for entries. Donors who redeem LifePoints without completing the registration form will forfeit those LifePoints.
Yes! Your first donation can be made on any operating day in the current year of the challenge — even if we won’t be in your area until later in the year. However, registration forms must be completed by the posted deadline. Be sure to register for the challenge by that deadline, then make your first donation when it’s convenient for you!
Yes. However, platelet and plasma donations will not be considered when calculating the amount of VISA gift cards you will win if your name is selected on a drawing date. Winners will receive a $1,000 VISA gift card for every WHOLE BLOOD donation they have made by that point in the current year.
Double red cell donations allow qualifying donors to give enough red blood cells for two patient transfusions in a single visit to our Springfield donor center. Because donors give twice as many red cells during this procedure, the deferral period between donations is twice as long – 112 days. Accordingly, every double red cell donation will count as TWO WHOLE BLOOD DONATIONS when calculating the number of $1,000 VISA gift cards a donor will receive.
Example: Someone who has given one whole blood donation and one double red cell donation in the same year would receive a $3,000 VISA gift card if their name was selected.
