56-Day Challenge

Take the challenge. Donate blood.

Did you know that eligible donors can give blood every 56 days? That’s six times a year! And did you know that the average donor gives less than twice a year? Now that you do, the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks and the Adam Swenka Team at Flat Branch Home Loans invite you to complete the 56-Day Challenge. If you complete the three-step challenge by April 15, you’ll be entered to win a $1,000 VISA gift card and help save the lives of people in the Ozarks!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Donate blood at any Community Blood Center of the Ozarks blood drive during the month of January. This includes our four donation centers in Springfield and Joplin, Missouri, and Springdale and Bentonville, Arkansas, as well as any CBCO mobile blood drive in the region. All January blood donors will receive an exclusive CBCO/Adam Swenka Team at Flat Branch Home Loans hoodie, while supplies last.
  2. Commit to take the challenge by filling out the registration form at www.cbco.org/56-daycommit
  3. Donate blood at any Community Blood Center of the Ozarks blood drive (center or mobile) by April 15. (Note: The date of your second donation must be at least 56 days after your first donation.)

One lucky donor who completes all three challenge steps will receive a $1,000 VISA gift card.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I only give blood in January? Will I still receive a hoodie?

Yes! Anyone who donates blood at any CBCO blood drive during the month of January will receive an exclusive CBCO/Adam Swenka Team at Flat Branch Home Loans hoodie, while supplies last. You will receive the hoodie on the date of your donation, regardless of whether you book another appointment. However, you will not be eligible to win the $1,000 VISA gift card unless you complete all three steps.

What if I do not fill out the registration form, but successfully complete two blood donations?

You must fill out the registration form at www.cbco.org/56-daycommit to be eligible to win the $1,000 VISA gift card. Donors who do not complete this registration form will not receive an entry.

I’m donating at a mobile blood drive in January. Will there be another drive in my area by April 15?

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is constantly adding new mobile blood drives to our calendar. For a full list of upcoming blood drives, click here. If you do not see a blood drive in your area, we encourage you to visit one of our four donation centers to complete the 56-Day Challenge.

I’m donating at a center in January. Do I have to donate at the same center for my second donation?

No. As long as you have filled out the registration form, you can make your second donation at a mobile blood drive if one would be more convenient. The opposite is also true. Those who donate at a mobile blood drive in January can make their second donation at a CBCO center or another mobile drive.

I am an apheresis donor. Will I be eligible for the 56-day challenge?

Yes. As long as you meet all three requirements (first donation in the month of January, a completed registration form, and a second donation by April 15) you’ll earn your entry into the $1,000 drawing.
