Blood Drive Consultant – Arkansas

Position Description: THIS POSITION IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE PLANNING, DEVELOPMENT AND THE PROMOTION OF BLOOD RECRUITMENT ACTIVITIES WITHIN AN ASSIGNED AREA; COMMUNICATING BLOOD PROGRAM ACTIVITY TO THE PUBLIC AND ACTING AS LIAISON BETWEEN THE BLOOD CENTER AND DONOR GROUPS; THE DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF CONTACTS BETWEEN VOLUNTEERS TO STIMULATE THEIR PARTICIPATION.

Job Specifications: Four-year baccalaureate degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must possess a valid driver’s license, have a clean driving record and the ability to be fully covered by the agency’s auto insurance. Experience in public speaking required. Experience in sales, event planning, community networking and recruitment of volunteers is preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours to recruit, support and guide volunteers at their convenience. Applicants must be willing to travel within their territory and to the home office in Springfield for scheduled meetings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely. Must be able to communicate articulately. Must be able to carry supplies into a variety of settings
