Collections Supervisor

Job Summary:

Responsible for the management of mobile unit or fixed site and all associated functions for their operation. Performs supervision of collection staff to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains personal proficiency in all areas of the collection process.

Supervises site set-ups for effective donor flow, confidentiality and safety.

Promotes teamwork, supervise and assign staff for maximum performance and utilization of skills and abilities.  Evaluate and provides guidance for difficult situations.

Performs quality control and completes related forms in an accurate and timely manner.

Promotes Customer Service while actively participating in establishing and maintaining good community relations.

Exhibits professionalism, flexibility, dependability and objectivity.

Provides input for performance evaluations and counseling statements.

Performs donor health histories and evaluates suitability to include vital signs and hemoglobin determination.

Performs blood collection activities according to Standard Operating Procedures to include skin preparation, phlebotomy, discontinuation and sample collections.

Provides excellent customer service, cultivating positive working relationships with all staff, volunteers and external customers.

Exhibits safety, accuracy, respectfulness and efficiency within specific job tasks.

Assists with special projects as assigned.

 

Physical Requirements:

Able to stand continuously for a minimum of three hours.

Able to climb in and out of a van.

Able to lift 25-30 pounds.

Hand and finger dexterity.

Visual and auditory acuity.

 

Job Specifications:

Minimum two years experience as a Donor Specialist or two years post-secondary education in a health-related field.  Able to comply with overnight travel schedule.

Must have attention to detail.

Must have the ability to perform professionally and provide excellent customer service.

Must be able to work flexible hours.

Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and be approved by the CBCO auto insurance carrier to drive CBCO vehicles.
