Double Up for Life

We’re constantly trying to carefully balance blood donations with the need for patients in our 38 county service area. Giving a double donation of red cells allows us to do just that.

Double Up for Life donors give blood through a cell separator. Your red cells are collected into product storage bags and sent to hospitals and patients, while your plasma and platelets are returned to you through the sterile, single use tubing set.

– A double red cell donation provides two transfusable doses in a single donation.

– The process is easier – smaller needle, fluid replacement, and one-on-one service.

– Saves time – double donation means giving every 16 weeks instead of every 8 weeks.
