Aaron Goddard Memorial Blood Drive

A collage of photos of former Springfield firefighter Aaron Goddard

Aaron Goddard was a decorated Springfield, Missouri, firefighter — and prior to that, he worked at Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. After a cancer diagnosis claimed his life in 2015, his family established this annual blood drive as a way to remember Aaron while helping others.

The 10th Annual Aaron Goddard Memorial Blood Drive is scheduled for:

Thursday, August 15, 2024
8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thomson Donation Center
220 W. Plainview Road
Springfield, Missouri

A hero to all he served, Aaron made a profound impact on the fireground, in the firehouse, and as a friend, mentor, husband, father and pillar of this community. Join us to donate blood in Aaron’s memory.

All successful blood donors will receive:

A free t-shirt exclusive to those who donate at this memorial drive

Two free general admissions tickets to the Dickerson Park Zoo – a $38 value – and a free Dickerson Park Zoo “Go Wild. Give Blood” t-shirt

For every successful blood donation made at the Aaron Goddard Memorial Blood Drive, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will donate $10 to the Sunshine Brotherhood, a nonprofit organization started by Aaron and Linda Goddard with a mission to provide financial support to firefighters and first responders in times of crisis.

The organization is committed to “Loving it Forward” in honor of Aaron, continuing to provide financial support to firefighters and first responders in need.
