If you’ve received a blood transfusion, you have an opportunity to send a message of appreciation through the Thank the Donor® program. Usually, you’re able to scan a barcode while you’re still at the hospital to send the message.
However, patients don’t always have the opportunity to do this. Even if you’re not longer in the hospital, you can still send a message of appreciation if you have the blood unit number of the blood transfusion you received.
You can request the blood unit number from your specific hospital where you received treatment through the links below. Then, you can put the blood unit number into the Thank the Donor platform, where you’ll be able to send your blood donor a message thanking them!
