Joplin, Missouri was forever changed May 22, 2011, when an EF-5 tornado swept through town. CBCO is part of the Joplin community, with one of our donor centers located inside Northpark Mall, mobile blood drives taking place regularly in the area, and as the sole provider of blood products to all Joplin hospitals. In the aftermath of the tornado, blood donors lined up to help make sure those who were injured would have the blood they needed.
Now, 10 years later, Joplin Proud is taking place with many events going on in the community.
To honor those who were lost, those who were injured, those who lost everything, and to recognize Joplin’s resilience, CBCO is holding a special blood drive at our Joplin Donor Center Monday, May 17 through Friday, May 21, 2021.
Donors will receive a special Joplin Proud T-shirt.
