Manager – Mobile & Fixed Operations NW Arkansas
Job Summary:
This position supervises, coaches, teaches and mentors all Arkansas DRS staff. Responsible for ensuring compliance with FDA, AABB, CBCO and OSHA regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains current knowledge of required standards and procedures while assuring that all staff members are informed of regulatory and procedural changes.
Provides knowledgeable and capable supervision of all phases of the blood collection process.
Maintains personal proficiency and knowledge in all areas of the collection process (excluding Special Donations).
Plans and works toward yearly goals of DRS department.
Answers eligibility questions and serves as backup for criteria questions.
Administers competency/proficiency testing for DRS staff and evaluations as required.
Assists in evaluation and implementation of new procedures and products.
Oversees reporting equipment maintenance.
Responsible for coordination of quarterly staff meetings, monthly supervisor and staff meetings with Sr. Director, Finance/Collections.
Responsible for interviewing and hiring all DRS NWA staff and personnel issues.
Responsible for mobile supervisory training.
Responsible for scheduling and related challenges for Arkansas.
Maintains a positive working relationship with all departments.
Supports all aspects of CBCO’s Quality Assurance program.
Maintains knowledge of all DRS SOPs.
Provides excellent customer service, cultivating positive working relationships with all staff, volunteers and external customers.
Exhibits safety, accuracy, respectfulness and efficiency within specific job tasks.
Assists with special projects as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand continuously for a minimum of three (3) hours.
Must be able to climb in and out of a van and/or a self-contained unit.
Must be able to lift 25-30 pounds.
Hand and finger dexterity.
Visual and auditory acuity.
Job Specifications:
Graduate from a state approved school of practical or registered nursing or at least two years blood banking experience.
Demonstrated leadership ability and expertise in blood collection required.
Must be able to comply with overnight travel schedule.
Must have attention to detail.
Must have the ability to respect confidentiality of CBCO information.
Must have the ability to perform professionally and provide excellent customer service.
