Mobile Unit Operator – Northwest Arkansas
Job Summary
Responsible for driving vehicles which contain mobile equipment, supplies and biohazardous materials. Under the supervision of the charge nurse, assists with preparing collection sites and performing various regulated functions related to blood collection, transportation and storage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Load and unload equipment, drive to mobile sites and set up equipment at the site. During drawing hours, assist collections staff with laveling, operating the Hematron and shuttling blood back to the center for processing. Requires handling of paperwork and meeting Department of Transportation regulations. Requires clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Requires regular standing, reaching and bending.
Requires lifting of at least 100 lbs.
Color and visual acuity.
Job Specifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Truck driving experience.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Clean driving record.
Capability of being reached by phone.
Post offer drug testing & DOT physical.
