9th Annual Bleed Red Blood Drive
Drive on July 22 and 23 has been renamed and expanded to a two-day event!
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) is teaming up again with the Springfield Cardinals, Hardee’s, Chase, Coca-Cola, KOLR-10 and the Journal Broadcast Group to present the 9th annual Bleed Red Blood Drive. The event will be held Monday & Tuesday, July 22nd and 23rd at Springfield’s Campbell Donor Center. The drive runs from 11 am to 6 pm each day.
Participants during the Bleed Red Blood Drive will receive two general admission tickets to a Springfield Cardinals game and an event t-shirt emblazoned with the Cardinals Texas League Championship logo. Hardee’s will provide a coupon for free chicken tenders, plus there will be free hot dogs, chips and soft drinks at the drive. Participants will also be automatically registered to win autographed Cardinals gear, upgraded ticket packages, or even the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a Cardinals game! Selected Cardinals players will be on hand at different points during the day. Team mascot Louie will make an appearance, as will the Louie Girls!
“This drive has grown so much that this year we decided to expand it to encompass two days,” CBCO Marketing Manager Chris Pilgrim said. “Area patients depend on the blood it provides, but I think our donors enjoy the great rewards they get and just the general atmosphere during the drive. We’re proud of the Cardinals and proud of our donors and I know that the Bleed Red Blood Drive will be another great event.”
