Staff Technologist – Immunohematology

Full time.  Position based in Springfield.

Job Description: Perform routine and complex antibody identification, resolution of immunohematology testing problems, selection of compatible blood, perform molecular testing, provide phone consultation to hospital customers, perform product quality control and label blood products.

Job Specifications:  MT (ASCP) or equivalent.  Effective verbal communication skills.  Demonstrate problem solving skills.  Ability to multitask.  Legible Handwriting.

Physical Requirements:

Manual dexterity (pipetting, typing, reading test tubes)

Ability to stand for periods of time, reach, bend, and lift supplies

Visual acuity to interpret test results

Ability to take overnight call
