Thanks-for-Giving Blood Drive
CBCO is thanking donors who give blood during the Thanksgiving holiday week by doubling their LifePoints rewards. Anybody that attempts a donation before the holiday will get the bonus points that may be redeemed online for a variety of gift cards or other charitable causes.
The Thanksgiving holiday begins a time when blood donations can and often do run short of demand. “The need for blood never takes a holiday,” CBCO Marketing Manager Chris Pilgrim said. “We try a variety of ways to entice donors to give during this time of the year, but the real allure is always the incredible impact that a person can have an a sick or injured hospital patient. Every five minutes, a transfusion takes place in one of the 38 hospitals who use blood provided by CBCO donors. The gift of blood will help those patients to hopefully enjoy many future holidays with family and friends.”
